The Security Senior Engineer implements Security solutions projects based on Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto and other major SEC technologies. Assignments include consulting, implementing, documenting, migrating security solutions and leading other security engineers.

Essential Functions:

• Works with customers and Security Solutions architects in planning and designing highly successful Security focused environments
• Works with customers to align technology to their business opportunities and needs in context of their Security Portfolio strategy
• Assists in delivering consulting engagements, working with distributed sales teams along with deployment team members
• Demonstrates command of the Security technologies and other ecosystem solutions
• Masters a deep technical knowledge and possesses the communication skills and organizational agility to guide customers through Security integration projects and must also be able to perform the hands-on technical solution design work on his/her own
• Utilizes knowledge of architectural design and documentation
• Stays up to date with Security technologies (Next-Gen Firewall, Next-Gen IPS, VPN and Network Visibility
• Stays up to date with Security solution manufacturers programs and promotions
• Customer facing / presentation skills
• Documentation skills – ability to deliver high-level design documentation
• Excellent verbal / written communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours as needed for critical functions
• Ability to document business, information, application and technology aspects of approach
• Candidate must have ability to lead complex large projects

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in IT or related field (Industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Minimum of 4-7 years of documented corporate IT experience in Security solutions is required
• Candidate must also have excellent communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Additionally the candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at once
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Perimeter Security products such as Next-Gen Firewalls (FTD/ASA), Next-Gen IPS (FirePower, FMC and AMP)
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Network Security products such as Identity Services Engine (ISE), StealthWatch and Web Security Appliance (WSA)
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Cloud Security products such as Umbrella and StealthWatch Cloud
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Endpoint Security products such as AnyConnect (VPN), Email Security Appliance (ESA) and AMP for Endpoints
• Current CCNP or other recognized security certification
• Strong skills in Enterprise networking with extensive experience with routing and switching technologies as it relates to security products
